Mild steel comes in a variety of different grades. Hot Rolled Mild Steel is mainly used in thickness’s of above 1,6mm and below that cold rolled is used. Mild steel in buildings is mainly used because of its economical price range.
Mild steel is used as frame work for a variety of applications such as furniture legs and supports, high rise building frame work, scaffolding, frame work for lighting in concerts and recently as decorative elements in buildings.
Mild Steel also comes in a weathering grade where the core of the steel is weather resistant and the external layer rusts. It offers a unique finish to facades, signs and other decorative elements.
